The Seven Summits. The Local Expertise.
Climb with the people who call Indonesia home.
Rising 4,884 meters above sea level in the remote highlands of Papua, Carstensz Pyramid is Indonesia’s highest mountain and one of the world’s legendary Seven Summits. Unlike the snow-covered peaks found on other continents, Carstensz offers a remarkable mountaineering experience among towering limestone walls, rugged ridgelines, and dramatic equatorial mountain landscapes. For climbers pursuing the Seven Summits challenge, a Carstensz Pyramid expedition is more than another summit attempt. It is an opportunity to discover one of the world’s most extraordinary mountain environments.
At Climb Indonesia, we believe that local knowledge makes a meaningful difference. As an Indonesian adventure expedition operator, we bring together experienced local mountain professionals, established ground partnerships, and a deep understanding of the country’s landscapes and operating conditions. Our Carstensz Pyramid climbing expedition combines international expedition planning standards with the practical advantages of working alongside people who know Indonesia firsthand. From preparation and logistical coordination to mountain operations, our focus is on delivering a professionally organized expedition with safety, adaptability, and personal attention at its core.
Our Carstensz Pyramid Expedition 2027 is scheduled from 22 February to 22 March 2027, offering climbers an opportunity to join a locally organized expedition to the highest summit in Oceania under the widely used Messner Seven Summits list. The journey brings together international climbers sharing a common ambition, supported by an Indonesian expedition team. Whether Carstensz Pyramid represents your next Seven Summits milestone or a long-awaited climbing objective, we aim to create an experience defined by genuine mountain adventure, responsible travel, and the confidence that comes from working with knowledgeable local professionals.
An expedition to Carstensz Pyramid requires preparation, flexibility, and respect for the mountain environment. Weather, access arrangements, local conditions, and unforeseen circumstances, including natural hazards or social and political developments that may affect expedition schedules and itineraries. At Climb Indonesia, operational decisions are guided by current conditions, risk assessments, and coordination with relevant local partners and authorities. We invite you to join our Carstensz Pyramid Expedition 2027 and experience one of mountaineering’s most distinctive Seven Summits journeys with the people who call Indonesia home.
