Adventure Details

Mt Ciremai, is a long-dormant volcano, with a 5 km wide caldera at the summit. The latest volcanic eruption took place in 1937.  With an altitude of 3,078m, it is the highest mountain in West Java, the trek of Mt Ciremai will be a combination of beautiful rainforest and volcanic loose stone rock.  This is one of our recommended weekend hikes near Jakarta, where hikers can enjoy awesome scenery both at the top and along the hike. On a clear day, the view from the top is incredible, a golden sunrise with a vast panorama of beautiful farmland, hills, valley, and forest that will leave you in awe.

 

Note before hiking Mt Ciremai:

  1. For safety reasons, Mount Ciremai National Park requires a minimum number of participants in a group must be 4 people
  2. Every hiker must conduct a simple medical checkup to prove they have adequate fitness. In practice, this will be measuring your blood pressure, temperature, and a quick chat regarding your health condition. This simple medical checkup has to be done by medical staff at the entry point before hiking starts

Itinerary

2 Days Program Jakarta - Mt Ciremai National Park

Day 1 

  • 3 AM, we will pick you up at the agreed meeting point in Jakarta then transfer to Mt Ciremai National Park ( around 4 hour’s drive) 
  • Have a quick breakfast, then do a simple health test at the registration post ( measuring your temperature and blood pressure), after that transfer to Mt Ciremai trailhead  30-minute drive with a pickup car
  • Start hiking Mt Ciremai to Camp 5
  • Lunch at Camp 3
  • Dinner and overnight at Camp 5 

Day 2 

  • Early wakeup at 3 Am for summit bid and sunrise, normally it takes 2 hour hike to reach the top of Mt Ciremai, hot drink and snacks are provided
  • Enjoy the sunrise, explore the peak of Mt Ciremai 
  • Descend down to Camp 5, have a breakfast then continue to going down 
  • Lunch at local resto 
  • Drive back to Jakarta
  • End of service 

 

3 Days Program Jakarta - Mt Ciremai National Park

Day 1

  • 9 AM , we will pick you up at the agreed meeting point in Jakarta then transfer to Mt Ciremai National Park ( around 4 hours drive) 
  • Lunch en-route 
  • Stay at local homestay ( Note : local homestay only provide basic facilities) 
  • Dinner at local resto 

Day 2 

  • After breakfast, conduct a medical check up, afterward  transfer to Mt Ciremai trailhead 
  • Start hiking to Camp 5 at Mt Ciremai 
  • Lunch at camp 3
  • Dinner and overnight camping at camp 5 

Day 3 

  • Early wakeup at 3 Am for summit bid and sunrise, normally it takes 2 hour hike to reach the top of Mt Ciremai, hot drink and snacks are provided
  • Enjoy the sunrise, explore the peak of Mt Ciremai
