Indonesia decided to reduce the mandatory quarantine period from five to three days, starting today – February 17th. This regulation applied to foreign travelers and Indonesian returnees who had received a COVID-19 booster vaccine and the PCR testing requirement will remain in place for those arriving travelers.
The government is also considering lifting all quarantine requirements for inbound travelers in April, as Covid-19 hospitalizations and fatality rates remain under control despite a resurgence in cases.
The move aimed to find the balance between the need to maintain health and the need to maintain the economy, especially to boost the international tourism, Indonesia’s top government official said.
Entry points for the international traveler will be expanded from 6 to become 7 entry points : Soekarno-Hatta (Jakarta), Juanda (Surabaya), Ngurah Rai (Bali), Hang Nadim (Kepulauan Riau), Raja Haji Fisabilillah (Kepulauan Riau), Sam Ratulangi (Manado), dan Zainudin Abdul Majid (Lombok). All sorts of entry points, such as airports, harbors, and ground crossings, are implementing cleanliness, health, and safety protocols, and new standard security routines. Kindly follow the new protocols to ensure a seamless travel experience on your visit to Indonesia.
